"The best Scottish unsigned band I have ever came across" – Elaine Lamb of Oban FM
"Sianar show that Scotland can produce smooth rock to rival the US" – John Fell of Camglen Radio
A chance meeting on a Facebook music gear buying and selling page paired together guitarist Kristian Clezy and accomplished singer songwriter James McKay on his return from a recent tour of the US.
Lace it with some low frequency magic from from Crawford Dow who answered an advert, again on Facebook, and then add in the raw talent of recently graduated music students Martin Wardlaw and Duncan McGregor, and the melting pot of talent is almost complete. The metronomic experience of Gavin Mills on guitar seals the bond on the group of 6 brothers that have become SIANAR.
SIANAR now plan for 2019 as they did 2018…….. more records to be made, funny music videos to be filmed and some amazing gigs to come.
Ending a massive year of festivals including supporting Boyzone and The Jacksons at Scotfest and the privilege of performing at Live@Troon, the band have quickly got to work writing more uplifting songs laced with guitar riffs and that percussive acoustic guitar.
November saw the band play a massive show with celtic rockers Headland at The Classic Grand in Glasgow – their biggest show to date other than Scotfest in July.
A summer of festivals will ensure that SIANAR will take another huge leap forward this year.
